Job summary

Stadler Rail AG in Salt Lake City invites an experienced Procurement Project Manager to lead procurement strategy and execution for major rail-vehicle projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost control while ensuring schedule and quality targets are met.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in procurement/project-based purchasing in transportation or capital projects, strong negotiation skills, and solid experience with ERP systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement and project-based purchasing experience in transportation, infrastructure, or capital projects; rail experience is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing suppliers globally.
• Experience with project management methodologies and cross-functional/matrix organizations.
• Excellent English; German or other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers to meet cost, delivery targets.
• Manage full procurement lifecycle: purchase orders, change orders, expediting, supplier performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support project milestones.
• Track KPIs: cost savings, on-time delivery, quality, and inventory.
