Job summary

Stadler US is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to drive procurement strategy for major rail-vehicle projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, ensure on-time deliveries, and control costs across the full procurement lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years in procurement for capital projects, with strong negotiation and data-driven decision making. Experience in rail is a plus; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Business Admin, Engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years of procurement/project purchasing experience
  • Strong negotiation skills with global suppliers
  • Experience in cross-functional/matrix organizations
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems
  • Excellent English communication; German or other language a plus
  • Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision making
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement plans aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers to meet targets
  • Manage full procurement lifecycle: POs, changes, expediting, supplier performance
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Track procurement KPIs: cost savings, on-time delivery, quality
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and drive process improvements
  • Support project budget and cost control within approved frameworks
