Job summary

Flex in Austin, TX seeks a Quality Director to develop and coordinate product quality assurance programs, directing people and processes to prevent defects in new and existing products. The role reports to the VP of Operations and supports the planned spin-off into Axiom.

You will lead QA policy creation, vendor evaluation, discrepancy reviews, and proactive actions; collaborate with engineering on product quality and with top management on budgets and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 8 years of management experience.
• Master’s or MBA preferred in related field.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and applicable regulations.
• Demonstrated skills in project management and ability to train others to lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and coordinates product quality assurance programs to prevent defects.
• Leads QA policy and procedure development and reviews discrepancy reports with corrective actions.
• Reports progress to customers and maintains contact to meet business needs.
• Establishes QA aims and action plans; collaborates with top management on policies and budgets.
• Interacts with engineering on QA of new products and manufacturing processes.
