Job summary

HireLevel. is seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist in Fenton, MO for a full-time position with potential for contract-to-hire.

You will manage PO creation and tracking within Epicor Prophet 21, verify pricing and delivery schedules, and work to optimize material availability in alignment with production plans. The role requires at least an associate degree (or coursework) and 2+ years in purchasing, with strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

Associate degree or some college coursework preferred.
Minimum of 2 years purchasing or procurement experience.
Experience with ERP systems; Epicor Prophet 21 experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Create, issue, and manage purchase orders within the ERP system (Epicor Prophet 21).
Verify pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Monitor open purchase orders and expedite critical materials as needed.
Communicate with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, and delivery issues.
Build and maintain vendor relationships while supporting supplier performance improvements.
Coordinate purchasing activities to support production schedules, customer orders, and project timelines.
Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing, and supplier information in the ERP system.
Assist with vendor negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
Track supplier performance, late orders, and purchasing metrics.
Collaborate with Operations, Production, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure material availability.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and streamline purchasing processes.
Maintain organized purchasing records and documentation.
