Qualifications

• Experience analyzing forecast data and translating it into purchasing plans.
• Ability to maintain supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Experience coordinating with internal teams to optimize inventory.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and quality management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze forecast data and execute purchase plan to ensure alignment of supply and demand.
• Identify and analyze potential issues to ensure demands are fulfilled.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers while negotiating to maximize company benefits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain an optimum level of inventory.
• Develop and implement a strategic buying plan to maximize profit.
• Manage associate buyers.
• Develop strong knowledge of products for production scheduling and quality management.
• Continuously strive to produce more visible, accurate and timely schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers on production and shipping schedules, claims, or quality issues.
• Provide shipping directions to suppliers and ensure timely delivery.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, clear communication, detail orientation, and time-management; MS Office.
