Staffmark Group in Arleta, CA is hiring a Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing operations, vendor management, and inventory processes. Pay rate is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, schedule Sunday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM.

The role requires a detail-oriented, analytical candidate who can negotiate bids, track deliveries, maintain records, and build strong supplier relationships. Excellent communication and multitasking abilities are essential for this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Contract negotiation experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to work with units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and negotiate competitive bids and quotes from vendors
• Follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and order status
• Resolve purchasing discrepancies and contract-related issues
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier information, and material data
• Support inventory rotation and monitor product dates as needed
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Assist with audits and compliance activities
• Follow established purchasing procedures, work instructions, and policies
• Keep the purchasing work area organized and efficient
• Perform additional duties as assigned
