Purchasing Specialist | Exciting Career Opportunity!

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for our client in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 100% remote opportunity (based out of Texas) to work with a leading Biotechnology company that is developing healthcare products using natural ingredients to improve the health and well-being of millions of people.

Location: Remote (in Texas)

Salary: $75,000

Job Type: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop appropriate Purchasing/Procurement & Supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
  • Responsible for evaluating and assessing raw inventory and "WIP" levels to assure operational efficiency while maintaining customer service levels.
  • Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, etc.
  • Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
  • Liaising with operations, manufacturing, and purchasing.
  • Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Load planning: Plan and optimize mixed loads considering transportation constraints.
  • Analyze and effectively communicate relevant information - Highlighting all supply issues - Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related tradeoffs.
  • Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the Business Planning process.
  • Work closely with Warehouse/Shipping, Production & Manufacturing Team.
  • Maintain a good relationship with all suppliers and constantly negotiate new rates and or lead time.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
  • Food/beverage, Nutraceutical and pharmaceutical experience and background and ability to negotiate with chemical providers that provide the raw material
  • Experience in the technical and reporting aspects of procurement is highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools
