SSI Fabricated in Middletown, OH is seeking a Purchasing & Materials Coordinator to support procurement, material coordination, and shipping/receiving within our manufacturing operations.

The role focuses on timely procurement of raw materials and components, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with production and engineering to meet schedules. A detail-oriented, proactive candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and help reduce costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in purchasing, procurement, materials coordination, or related manufacturing support.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase orders, supplier communication, and inventory management.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of raw materials, components, production supplies, equipment, and other materials for daily operations.
• Prepare, process, and maintain purchase orders per company procedures.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery commitments.
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations to identify material requirements.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to minimize interruptions and excess stock.
• Develop vendor relationships and support cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist shipping/receiving with material movements and documentation.
