Job summary

Lennar in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Purchasing Manager to develop, negotiate, and execute division sourcing agreements for designated spend categories.

You will ensure top-quality trade partners, conduct audits, onboard suppliers with required insurance, and travel to sites to review performance. The role requires 5+ years in sourcing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years sourcing and managing supplier/trade partner relationships.
• Superior analytical and communication skills.
• JDE/AS400 experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Significant knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Effective negotiating and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Lennar has top-quality trade partners for production needs (quality, scheduling, and pricing).
• Audit trade partners for quality and schedule adherence.
• Source, contract, negotiate, and onboard trade partners with insured requirements.
• Travel to sites to review partner performance with the Director of Purchasing.
• Implement sourcing strategies to optimize supply chain flow.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Facilitate value-engineering sessions with trade partners and division associates.
• Develop should-cost models for cost estimation and optimization.
• Monitor divisional cost per square foot for categories.
• Negotiate and validate pricing on Extra Purchase Orders (EPOs).
• Review scopes of work and coordinate with Expeditor.
