Job summary

You will oversee daily tasks of Purchasing Assistants and provide feedback to the Director of Purchasing while upholding BEK culture. Ideal candidates have prior purchasing or manufacturing experience, knowledge of purchasing systems, and a bachelor's degree in Business or related field.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office, internet and email; willingness to learn new software.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Inventory/Purchasing system.
• Valid driver's license is required for driving to perform company business.
• Ability to write reports and present information to vendors and employees.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to learn all Ben E. Keith applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally and uphold dress code.
• Replenish inventory across assigned categories to balance supply and demand at best price.
• Perform purchasing admin tasks including system management, price verification, and new item requests.
• Manage purchase order process from initiation to delivery.
• Oversee daily duties of Purchasing Assistants where applicable.
• Provide feedback to Director of Purchasing on Assistant performance.
• Model good management and self-management for BEK culture.
• Manage purchasing levels based on pre-determined guidelines.
