Job summary

Baldwin Supply Company, a long‑standing Minnesota manufacturer and distributor, seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and inventory management, optimize supplier contracts, and drive cost-saving opportunities across the organization.

You will oversee a team, manage vendor relationships, forecast demand, and ensure timely procurement to support manufacturing and distribution operations. A bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years purchasing or supply chain experience.
• Leadership experience required.
• Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing processes and ensure best practices.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supplier terms.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Manage forecasting, inventory levels, and replenishment.
• Oversee inventory counts and reconciliation.
• Review purchase orders for accuracy.
• Expedite orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Address defective goods and returns.
• Analyze purchasing data and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership on cost-saving strategies.
