Job summary

Bandit Equipment is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing department, coordinating buyers and collaborating with leadership to define material needs and substitutions. You will assess availability, compare suppliers, and implement procurement policies to secure quality goods at the best value.

The role requires 10+ years in supply chain management, strong negotiation and leadership capabilities, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred but not required.
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in supply chain management or related position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills.
• Strong supervisor and leadership skills with ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the purchasing team and plan and coordinate the work of buyers and purchasing agents.
• Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify needs for equipment, materials, and substitutions.
• Assess current material availability and predict future availability based on market and delivery systems.
• Research and compare suppliers on price, quality, service, and reliability.
• Draft and implement purchasing policies and contract management procedures.
• Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions; recommend alternatives when needed.
• Negotiate contracts and represent the company in supplier negotiations.
• Meet with vendors to discuss goods and determine necessary actions.
• Monitor and expeditie orders and resolve shipment issues with suppliers.
