Job summary

Assurance Manufacturing in Minnesota is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our employee-owned team. You will lead procurement for equipment, materials, and services, manage supplier relationships, and optimize purchasing processes in a modern manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong negotiating and communication skills, organizational focus, and 3+ years in purchasing. A degree is preferred; on-site work at our facility is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and work well in a team.
• Understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with departments and leadership to identify needs for equipment and materials.
• Assesses material availability and predicts future supply based on market conditions.
• Prepares market condition and cost reports.
• Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions.
• Resolves vendor issues and maintains supplier relationships.
• Maintains purchasing and recordkeeping systems.
• Represents the company in supplier negotiations.
• Purchases raw materials, hardware, and office supplies cost-effectively.
• Assists estimating and customer service with quotes and sources.
• Receives packing slips and resolves invoice discrepancies.
• Monitors supplier quality, delivery, and in-house stock levels.
• Ensures approved supplier lists and compliance with safety guidelines.
• Participates in training to improve supervision and management skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
