Job summary

SEMCORP Manufacturing USA LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities for our U.S. manufacturing site. You will drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and material availability while partnering with Operations, Engineering and Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract management, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in automotive, battery, chemicals, plastics, packaging, or other industrial manufacturing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to support manufacturing operations.
  • Manage sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, MRO supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Identify cost reduction and value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations on new product introductions, capital projects, and process improvements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize inventory and working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
  • Analyze purchasing data, market trends, and supplier risks to support business decisions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team.

Job description

The Purchasing Manager will lead procurement activities for our U.S. manufacturing facility, ensuring uninterrupted supply of direct and indirect materials while driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and operational excellence. This position works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and global sourcing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to support manufacturing operations.
