Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Oshkosh, WI, to lead site purchasing, material procurement, and inventory control supporting production requirements. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to ensure material availability and cost effectiveness.

The role requires 4–5 years’ experience in manufacturing purchasing, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and the ability to develop supplier relationships and forecasts. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–5 years in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing.
• Valid driver's license; APICS certification is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of material procurement and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate purchasing, material procurement, inventory control, production scheduling, cost quoting, and related materials activities.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, components, WIP, operating supplies, and other materials for operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing systems to support production needs.
• Develop short- and long-range material forecasts and purchasing plans with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers and identify alternate suppliers.
