SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Manager, Purchasing to lead the indirect purchasing team, covering cloud, software, services and facilities. You will partner with engineering and operations to align procurement with business goals and drive supplier performance.

You will develop sourcing strategies, manage contracts, and implement AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency. This onsite role is based in Hawthorne, CA with travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, finance, or other discipline.
• 10+ years of purchasing, supplier management, or contract negotiations; or a combination of these areas.
• 2+ years in a supervisory, lead, or management role.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the indirect purchasing team across cloud, software, services, and facilities.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop procurement strategies.
• Own contract management to ensure supplier performance and on-time delivery.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce risk and costs while aligning with payment terms and savings.
• Conduct supplier and market analysis to plan strategic sourcing and ensure supply continuity.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives on contracts, cost reviews, and supply issues.
• Lead development of tools and processes leveraging AI to drive purchasing efficiency.
• Hire, mentor, and develop team members and drive key projects.
