Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a Purchasing Lead to drive purchasing and order management across global procurement. The role interfaces with suppliers and internal teams to optimize material flow and total cost of ownership.

You will lead supplier performance and risk management, negotiate awards, and mentor the purchasing team while supporting strategic sourcing and ERP cost updates. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six or more years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and order management activities to drive operational effectiveness.
• Lead supplier performance management activities.
• Lead supplier risk mitigation activities.
• Lead material total cost of ownership reviews and execute cost management action plans.
• Negotiate and make award decisions for the purchase of goods and services.
• Develop reports, scorecards and dashboards to communicate and present purchasing management activities.
• Apprenticing, mentoring and training of purchasing organization team members.
