Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing internship offers hands-on experience in strategic purchasing, global sourcing, and operations. You'll work across the division to develop and implement procurement strategies from our global supply base.

You will analyze quotes, negotiate long-term agreements, and help develop data analytics tools to improve delivery, cost, and risk. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Operations Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field for entire duration of internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operations.
• Participate in strategic sourcing activities including understanding commodity landscape.
• Research and identify new potential sources.
• Gather and compile information to request quotes.
• Analyze quotes and recommend sourcing plan.
• Negotiate long term agreements.
• Lead initiatives to improve delivery, quality, cost, and risk amongst supply chain.
• Sustain supplier partnerships by maintaining regular communication with supply base.
• Develop data analytics tool(s) to streamline decision-making capabilities.
• Provide support to Buyers and Purchasing Agents in procurement of goods and services.
