Job summary

Mac-Medical-3 is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent / Inventory Control Specialist to manage procurement activities and maintain accurate inventory levels supporting our manufacturing operations in Millstadt, IL. The role focuses on laminates, substrates, adhesives, hardware, and other production materials.

You will negotiate pricing and delivery with suppliers, issue POs, monitor stock, run cycle counts, and collaborate with production to forecast needs and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and inventory management software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase laminates, substrates, adhesives, hardware, and materials.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing.
• Collaborate with production to forecast material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, laminates, hardware, and production supplies.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP/MRP systems.
• Coordinate with purchasing and production to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
• Develop inventory control procedures that improve accuracy and reduce waste.
