Job summary

At Work Cincy is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to manage purchasing activities, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure materials are available to support production and office operations at the Fairfield, OH facility.

This on-site, full-time role collaborates with vendors and internal teams to optimize stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and identify cost-saving opportunities; salary is $60,000–$70,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing and inventory control experience.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and investigate discrepancies.
• Create purchase orders, verify pricing, and monitor delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Coordinate with vendors and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Resolve supplier issues involving quality, pricing, and delivery.
• Maintain organized and accurate inventory records and storage areas.
• Prepare inventory reports and metrics for management.
• Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records during implementation of the Epicor ERP system.
• Assist with the transition of inventory currently stored/shipped to facility.
• Identify new products, trends, and opportunities to reduce costs.
