Job summary

Hughes Circuits Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Buyer to join our procurement team in San Marcos, CA. You will support supplier management, procurement activities, and inventory control to streamline operations and improve supply chain efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, is US-authorized, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with ERP systems and manufacturing procurement is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers to establish a reliable supplier base.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating terms, pricing and delivery schedules.
• Conduct market research to identify potential supplies and access capabilities.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support company financial goals.
• Coordinate with planning to schedule purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
• Generate, issue, and process purchase orders using ERP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in forecasting to prevent stockouts or overstock.
• Maintain accurate record of purchases, pricing, and supplier data in ERP systems.
• Communicate with Account and Procurement Managers regarding schedule discrepancies.
• Create PPV reports for management approval of cost changes.
• Monitor and update open POs with tracking information, status changes, or issues.
• Manage multiple purchasing projects efficiently and keep documentation organized.
