Job summary

Topcon Healthcare seeks a highly analytical Purchasing Specialist to manage purchasing activities, supplier negotiations, inventory planning, forecasting, and vendor contracts at our Oakland, NJ office. The role emphasizes expert Excel and AI-based data analysis, with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, and Salesforce experience.

The position offers a base pay range of $85,000–$105,000 annually plus a 5% bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, with on-site work required in Oakland.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Excel skills for PivotTables, XLOOKUP, formulas and dashboards.
• Experience using AI tools for data analysis, forecasting, reporting and automation.
• Experience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA and Salesforce.
• Proven ability to forecast purchasing, demand, or inventory needs.
• Strong vendor negotiation and cost-reduction capabilities.
• Experience negotiating SLAs and supplier pricing contracts.
• Experience managing Min/Max inventory, reorder points, lead times and safety stock.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and vendor-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze purchasing, inventory, usage, and sales data using Excel and AI tools.
• Prepare accurate purchasing and inventory forecasts from sales data and history.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and purchasing agreements with vendors.
• Negotiate SLAs and supplier contracts and manage related terms.
• Process RTS transactions and manage supplier returns.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure optimal pricing and terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain Min/Max stock levels.
• Generate Min/Max, reorder-point, safety-stock, shortage-risk and excess-inventory reports.
• Prevent shortages and obsolete stock through proactive planning.
• Evaluate vendor performance on pricing, quality, lead time and SLA compliance.
• Use SAP/SAP S/4HANA to manage purchasing, POs, vendor records, and related transactions.
• Use Salesforce to review forecasts, demand, and purchasing-related data.
• Apply AI insights to analyze large datasets, automate reporting, and improve forecasting.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Warehouse, and Customer Support.
