Job summary

PARR in Wisconsin is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to streamline procurement activities for commodity buyers. You will coordinate with yards, vendors, and sales staff to ensure timely purchases and accurate records, reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related experience, knowledge of lumber and millwork, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Biztrack. This role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities to grow within a family-owned company committed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of lumber, panels, and related products.
• Knowledge of doors and millwork production required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to operate personal computer, telephone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
• One to two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
• Knowledge and experience working with perpetual inventory systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Biztrack software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Match the purchase orders with quantities, destination, and pricing on vendor confirmation.
• Ensure that shipping schedules are met for commodity purchases.
• Track and follow up on late shipments; communicate with the field about late shipments.
• Assist in price updates and corrections in Biztrack.
• Assist with the transition to Biztrack as a department resource.
• Proactively communicate with suppliers about product and supply issues with the goal of making the system work better.
• Be the department point person working with yards on their inventory discrepancies.
• Assist Buyers in documenting and following up on product claims.
• Standardize, organize, and maintain the department filing systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
