Job summary

Ector County Independent School District in Odessa, Texas seeks a Coordinating professional to assist in purchasing and contracts. You will support day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal procurement rules, and help manage contracts and requisitions district-wide.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (business/finance related) with experience in purchasing or contract management in public sector settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
• TASBO certification preferred
• CTCD or CTCM certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist purchasing staff with day-to-day operational needs
• Review documentation for accuracy, verify budget coding and calculations, attach contracts, RFPs, quotes, cost analyses
• Monitor adherence to purchasing policies and resolve issues to facilitate procurement
• Collaborate with campuses to identify procurement needs and develop clear specifications and scopes of work
• Assist in processing contracts and ensure proper filing and renewals
• Provide P-Card program support and travel office backup
• Update guidelines, manuals, and the purchasing website
• Monitor state/federal procurement laws and update procedures
