Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
• Experience includes student teaching or approved internship or related work experience
• Strong knowledge of curriculum and online learning best practices
• Ability to instruct students using technology applications and platforms

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curricula
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles
• Present subject matter according to guidelines by TEA and policies
• Utilize technology and different platforms to support instruction
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed
• Maintain communication with students, families, and district personnel
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned
• Provide timely feedback and track student progress
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and community
