Seaway Plastics in Minnesota seeks a Purchasing/Procurement lead to source quality goods and services at optimal cost, impacting spending efficiency. You will collaborate with Project Management on new business programs and onboard suppliers based on cost, quality, and service.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment, Epicor or similar ERP experience, and strong negotiation, analytics, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; additional education in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• US work authorization is required.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-focused mindset.
• Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and documentation of processes.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management on new business development programs.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, including quotations based on cost, quality, and service.
• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing, inventory agreements, and performance (OTD, scorecards, SCARs, RGRs).
• Review and execute MRP purchase order recommendations for development materials and support inventory management.
• Coordinate product transitions to Purchasing after development completion.
• Create and maintain part numbers, master data, supply chain records, and Approved Supplier List.
• Monitor market conditions impacting materials and supplier availability.
• Maintain customer Material Liability Agreements as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
