Job summary

PeopleFind Inc. is seeking aPurchasing Manager – Raw Materials with plastics/resins procurement experience to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for manufacturing facilities across the United States.

This on-site role emphasizes cost-competitive sourcing, supply continuity and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a five-plus year track record in plastics or related chemical procurement, with strong analytical and negotiation skills, and be able to travel as

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, commodity management or supply-chain management.
• Plastics, resin or closely related chemical-procurement background.
• Strong knowledge of plastics and chemicals procurement.
• Experience in supplier-relationship management and strategic sourcing.
• Understanding of global supply-chain factors.
• Clear analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
• In-depth proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing requirements for manufacturing facilities throughout the United States.
• Maintain detailed purchasing records and vendor data, including specifications, pricing histories, performance results and contracts.
• Conduct market analysis to identify supply trends, cost drivers and technology shifts within the supply base.
• Lead supplier-selection and quotation processes, total-cost-of-ownership analyses and contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through visits, audits and performance evaluations.
• Develop commodity strategies that maximize purchasing leverage, strengthen continuity of supply and improve cost efficiency.
• Support material-budget planning, cost forecasting and key performance initiatives.
• Lead supplier negotiations, cost-reduction workshops and corrective-action processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply risk and improve supplier performance.
