Job summary

Lidl US is seeking a Purchasing Analyst to join our Food Buying team. The role monitors stock levels in regional distribution centers and reviews store orders to ensure product availability, sending orders to vendors and coordinating delivery requirements.

You will liaise with internal departments, analyze sales trends, maintain reports, and help adjust assortments. A Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field and 1–3 years of experience are preferred; strong Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages assigned project and/or department data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements.
• Data entry and data management for various department projects.
• Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans.
• Monitor stock levels in regional distribution centers to ensure adequate availability.
• Analyze store orders and use the information to place orders with vendors.
• Liaise with vendors regarding delivery requests such as arrival schedules and minimum order quantities.
• Create and maintain sales reports for senior management and analyze sales figures to project future volume requirements.
• Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to the relevant buyers.
• Liaise regularly with buyers regarding assortment and vendor changes.
• Communicate with internal departments regarding product availability, delivery schedules and store order pattern.
