Job summary

Lidl US is seeking a Purchasing Analyst to join the Food Buying team. The analyst monitors stock at regional DCs and evaluates store orders to ensure product availability. Responsibilities include sending orders to vendors, coordinating delivery requirements, and communicating assortment changes across departments.

The role emphasizes data management, reporting, and vendor performance evaluation within an expanding U.S. market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in a related field
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage assigned project data to meet contractual or policy requirements.
• Data entry and data management for department projects.
• Assist with developing training materials (manuals, handbooks, presentations).
• Monitor stock levels in regional distribution centers to ensure availability.
• Analyze store orders and use findings to place orders with vendors.
• Liaise with vendors regarding delivery requests (arrival schedules, MOQs).
• Create and maintain sales reports for senior management; project future volumes.
• Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to buyers.
• Liaise with buyers regarding assortment and vendor changes.
• Communicate with internal departments about product availability and delivery schedules.
