Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation seeks an experienced procurement professional to oversee and support procurement across assigned locations. You will manage contracts, negotiate with vendors, set up vendor records in SAP and analyze market data for strategic sourcing opportunities.

Responsibilities include managing the supplier base, issuing RFPs/RFQs, and coordinating with legal, clients, and contractors to ensure optimal delivery, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business plus 4 years of supply chain experience or 8 years in lieu of degree.
• Legal Terms & Conditions knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and process Purchase Orders in SAP for best price and delivery.
• Establish and maintain secure sources for required materials and services.
• Coordinate with client groups to evaluate supplier performance and alternatives.
• Negotiate, execute and administer contracts, leases and national contracts.
• Coordinate activities of clients, vendors, contractors and legal to ensure proper performance.
• Maintain current vendor lists capable of supplying assigned commodities and services.
• Analyze market conditions, conduct value and quality analysis, and identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
• Manage supplier base via market analysis and supplier pre-qualification, bidding and selection.
• Solicit bids, analyze proposals, negotiate terms, and issue RFP/RFQ; assist requisitioners with specs.
• Resolve purchasing issues for internal and external customers and expedite payments as needed.
• Support special projects and provide on-call procurement assistance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business

4 years of Supply Chain management experience OR 8 years in lieu of degree
