Job summary

6 Degrees Search in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Purchasing Agent to ensure timely procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services for manufacturing operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
• 2-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders and procurement records in SAP.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, MRP, Sourcing, and Quality to procure goods and services.
• Prepare and execute purchase orders in SAP.
• Follow up on delivery schedules with key suppliers and critical deliveries.
• Maintain purchasing data and set stocking levels.
• Discuss non-conforming goods with quality control to facilitate disposition and corrective action.
• Approve quantity and pricing for payment of invoices.
• Expedite deliveries and monitor supplier performance.
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues with internal teams.
