Job summary

Accounting Search in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Agent to ensure timely procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services for manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Production Scheduling, and suppliers to maintain cost-effective, high-quality supply chain performance.

The role involves creating purchase orders in SAP, monitoring deliveries, and expediting as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
2-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and manage purchase orders and procurement records in SAP.
Monitor delivery schedules with key suppliers and critical deliveries.
Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries as needed.
Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues in partnership with internal teams.
Approve invoice pricing and quantities.
Maintain accurate purchasing data and set stocking levels.
Procure goods and services to meet internal and external customer orders; coordinate with Engineering, Operations, MRP, Sourcing and Quality.
