You will serve as primary writer, editor, and project manager, coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure accurate, accessible resources.

This role emphasizes editorial quality, timely delivery, and alignment with ACCG’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in communications, journalism, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in publications, editing, and project management.
• Knowledge of Georgia local government operations, policy, or law.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; AP/Chicago Style.
• Strong organizational and multi-project management ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, produce, draft, and edit ACCG handbooks and reference publications.
• Manage publication schedules, production timelines, and digital formats.
• Coordinate design, layout, and publication processes with stakeholders.
• Lead AI-ready content for member chatbots and knowledge bases.
• Oversee revisions reflecting legislative and policy changes.
• Maintain publication archives and version control.
• Monitor trends and advise improvements for member resources.
