Job summary

ACCG seeks a skilled Publications Manager to oversee the strategic planning, development, publication and updates of its resource materials for county government staff. As chief writer, editor, and project manager, you will coordinate with subject matter experts, ensure accuracy, and maintain branding and schedules.

A strong background in public administration content is required, with knowledge of Georgia local government operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related discipline.
• Moderate (typically five or more years) of experience in publications, editing, technical writing, and project management.
• Knowledge of Georgia local government operations, policy, or law.

Responsibilities

• Publications Management: develop, draft and edit ACCG handbooks, guidebooks, and reference publications.
• Editorial Direction: coordinate with content providers, ensure writing consistency and adherence to style guides.
• Project Management: manage multiple publication projects and budgets, meet deadlines.
• Knowledge sharing: maintain archives and support AI-ready content for member resources.
