Job summary

The City of Fresno's General Services Department seeks a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing functions within the Purchasing Division.

You will prepare specifications for bids, analyze proposals, and coordinate with vendors, ensuring compliance with laws and City policies. Qualifications

• Thirty (30) semester units in Business or Public Administration.
• One year of procurement/buyer experience including cost determination and vendor selection.
• One year of finance, budget, or accounting experience in a governmental setting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications for formal and informal bids.
• Develop bid analyses and vendor matrices.
• Conduct bid conferences, bid openings and vendor meetings.
• Analyze proposals and complete bid evaluation reports.
• Ensure processes comply with laws, regulations and City policies.
