Job summary

The Broward County Purchasing Division is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee operations across a broad range of procurements for 60+ agencies. This in-office role emphasizes leadership, centralized processes, and robust vendor management.

You will supervise staff, coordinate solicitations, negotiate with vendors, and ensure contract compliance while driving efficiency and accountability within Broward County's procurement operations.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or closely related field.
• Requires six (6) years in a centralized purchasing operation including four (4) years in public sector purchasing and supervisory experience.
• Master's Degree in relevant field and professional certifications are preferred.
• CPPB/CPPO/CPP/PMP certifications are desirable.
• Experience with Government Procurements for Professional Services and IT is a plus.
• Advanced experience using PeopleSoft modules.
