Job summary

The Health Program Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of public health programs designed to address specific health issues across Arkansas. The role supports state efforts to improve community health through evidence-based strategies and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include planning and coordinating programs, evaluating effectiveness with data, preparing reports and grant applications, collaborating with agencies and partners,

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience with statutes, policy, or procedures related to adult or child welfare.
• Two years’ experience in a discipline requiring reasoning and objective analysis of facts.
• Ability to document complex situations clearly and comprehensively.
• Experience with developmentally disabled or geriatric populations.
• At least two years’ experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate public health programs addressing key health concerns.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using data, metrics, and feedback; adjust goals accordingly.
• Prepare reports, grant applications, and program summaries per requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate service delivery.
• Maintain organized records of activities, expenditures, outcomes, and evaluations.
