Job summary

Arkansas Department of Health is seeking a Health Program Coordinator to lead planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs. The role provides program leadership to staff and ensures activities align with state goals and regulations.

You will oversee data collection, analyses, and reporting, develop comprehensive program plans and budgets, and coordinate with local health units, schools, providers, and nonprofits to promote community-based services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health science, social work, education, public administration, or related field.
• Two years of experience in public health, program coordination, or health education.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform program decisions.
• Develop program plans, budgets, timelines, and grant compliance.
• Coordinate with local health units, schools, providers, nonprofits, and partners.
• Prepare grant reports, training materials, and stakeholder updates.
• Facilitate trainings and public health campaigns relevant to the program.
• Monitor regulations affecting the program and advise on policy adjustments.
