Job summary

The State of Arkansas is seeking a Health Program Specialist to develop, coordinate, implement, and monitor public health programs across Arkansas, focusing on chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health, and environmental health.

You will work with stakeholders, analyze health data, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with laws and grant conditions while engaging communities at events and coordinating with local partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field required.
• Experience analyzing health data and epidemiological reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate public health programs to address key health concerns.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using data, metrics, and feedback.
• Prepare reports, grant applications, and program summaries.
• Collaborate with agencies to coordinate service delivery and resources.
• Maintain records of activities, expenditures, outcomes, and evaluations.
• Represent the agency at events and meetings as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health laws and grant conditions.
