Job summary

The Arkansas Department of Health is seeking a Health Program Coordinator to oversee planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs. This role provides leadership and technical guidance to Health Program Specialists to advance state health goals.

You will coordinate with local health units, schools, providers, nonprofits, and other agencies to deliver community-based services, manage grants, and report on program performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or closely related field.
• Two years of public health, program coordination, or health education experience.
• Ability to work across multiple systems and manage initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and monitoring of assigned public health programs.
• Provide technical assistance and mentorship to staff.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Develop program plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate with partners to promote community-based services.
• Prepare grant reports and stakeholder updates.
• Lead trainings and public health campaigns.
• Monitor regulatory developments and adjust policies.
