City of Baytown, TX is seeking a Finance Director-level leader to oversee the Finance Department, drive strategic financial planning, and ensure robust internal controls and GAAP-compliant reporting. You will mentor staff, collaborate across departments, and support the City’s financial goals.

The role requires supervising finance staff, directing annual budgets, and coordinating audits while presenting to City leadership and the Council.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or institution in Accounting, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Finance Director in managing all financial activities of the City, including operating and capital budget preparation, CIP, fixed assets, grants, financial planning, and reporting.
