Job summary

The City of Lake City is seeking a Finance Director to lead its financial operations and provide strategic financial leadership in budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, investments, and internal controls.

The Finance Director reports to the City Manager and oversees audits, GASB compliance, debt management, cash management, tax collection, payroll, HR, and utility billing to ensure transparency and strong fiscal stewardship.

Qualifications

• College degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of financial management experience, to include supervisor experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training to accomplish the foregoing.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, investments, debt administration, cash management, and financial policy development.
• Maintain GAAP and GASB-compliant financial records and coordinate the annual independent audit.
• Oversee banking relationships, investment portfolio, cash management, debt obligations, and internal controls.
