Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications, public affairs, political science, or related field.
• Master's degree in public policy, communications, political science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in public affairs, communications, government and community relations.
• Experience in regulatory area desirable.

Responsibilities

• Public affairs strategic direction, counsel and support: Works with executive staff and project teams to identify critical issues and develop strategic plans.
• Strategic communications: Develops and implements messages, presentations and events to enhance public perception.
• Media liaison: Directs media relations programs to ensure clear communication of project goals.
• Management: Oversees external public affairs consultants and reports to executives.
