The role emphasizes proactive opportunity spotting, team leadership of writers and vendors, brand stewardship, and collaboration with community relations, regulatory and stakeholder teams to advance client goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or public relations.
• 7+ years in communications, with 5+ years as account executive or direct client service.
• Experience creating and implementing communications plans.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Solid copywriting expertise.
• Senior Consultant in Jurisdictional Communications role with state/local issues coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client liaison; proactively seek opportunities aligning with client goals.
• Develop plans based upon client goals and communications strategies; manage schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate implementation of communications tactics; lead teams of writers, designers, vendors.
• Act as communications resource; ensure adherence to Xcel Energy brand and corporate values.
