Job summary

Cigna Healthcare seeks a senior managed care contracting professional in Alabama to lead complex negotiations for fee-for-service and value-based arrangements with hospital systems, ancillaries, and physician groups.

You will build provider partnerships, analyze financial impact of contracts, and coordinate with Claims Operations, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, and Sales to support the local market strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; finance, economics, healthcare or business.
• MBA or MHA preferred.
• 3+ years managed care contracting experience.
• Experience building and nurturing provider relationships.
• Knowledge of complex reimbursement methodologies, incentives preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team player in a matrix org.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex contracting and negotiations for fee-for-service and value-based reimbursements.
• Builds relationships that nurture provider partnerships and seeks broader value-based opportunities.
• Coordinates with Claims Operations, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, and Sales.
• Assists in developing network analytics and cost/quality improvements.
• Prepares and analyzes financial impact of large provider contracts.
• Ensures contract loading and maintenance with matrix partners.
