Job summary

Cigna Healthcare is seeking a Provider Contracting Advisor to lead complex contracting and negotiations for local markets in Tennessee. You will build and nurture provider partnerships, support network analytics, and collaborate across matrix teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality care.

The role requires at least 3+ years in managed care contracting, strong communication, and a solid understanding of reimbursement models. Hybrid work option in West Tennessee is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Healthcare or Business; significant industry experience may substitute.
• 3+ years managed care contracting and negotiating experience.
• Experience building and nurturing external provider relationships.
• Knowledge of hospital, managed care and provider business models.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence sales and provider audiences.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex contracting and negotiations for fee-for-service and value-based reimbursements.
• Builds relationships with provider partners to support local market strategy.
• Coordinates with Claims Ops, Credentialing, Legal, Medical Economics, Compliance, Sales and Service.
• Develops network analytics for network solutions and cost management.
• Ensures accurate contract loading and interface with matrix partners for implementation.
• Provides guidance to less experienced specialists.
