Cigna Healthcare is seeking a strategic Provider Contracting professional in Chicago to lead complex negotiations and manage network relationships across Illinois. You will influence contract terms, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support value-based care initiatives.

The role requires a 3+ year track record in contracting, strong analytical and communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree (MBA/MHA preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; significant industry experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 3 years contracting and negotiating experience with complex delivery systems.
• Experience in developing and managing provider relationships.
• Knowledge of hospital, managed care, and provider business models.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex contracting and negotiations for fee-for-service and value-based reimbursements with hospitals and providers.
• Builds relationships to nurture provider partnerships and expands value-based opportunities.
• Coordinates with Claims Operations, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, and other teams.
• Develops networks and identifies opportunities for value-oriented and risk arrangements.
• Prepares and analyzes financial impact of large provider contracts.
