Job summary

Scion Nonprofit Staffing is seeking a Nonprofit Prospect Development Manager for a respected nonprofit focused on hunger relief and community strengthening. This hybrid role is open to candidates in Oregon or Southwest Washington, leading prospect research and management to bolster fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in prospect research and management, moves management, or related field.
• 3+ years of leadership experience coaching, training, supervising, or guiding staff or teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop proactive prospecting methodologies using data mining and relational databases.
• Knowledge of Moves Management and fundraising concepts with ability to set long‑term plans and measurable goals.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with donor/prospect databases is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of prospect research and management programs aligned with fundraising strategies.
• Coach and develop a team of three while overseeing research, portfolio management, reporting and data analysis.
• Develop proactive prospecting methodologies using data mining, queries, analytics, and portfolio strategy.
• Lead moves management, prospect tracking, donor strategy meetings and major‑gift identification.
• Partner with fundraising leadership on long‑term planning, revenue budgeting, and systems development.
