Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking an Operations Director to lead property operations for both community and facility management in Morristown, NJ. You will drive occupancy, marketing strategy and financial performance while upholding the company’s WeCare culture.

You will oversee leasing, maintenance, budgeting, and data integrity in Yardi, collaborating with facilities and stakeholders to achieve installation goals and growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; degrees preferred.
• 5 years in property or hospitality management or related field.
• 3 years people management experience.
• Strong leadership, accountability and decision-making skills.
• Solid financial acumen with budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Achieve budgeted occupancy and implement marketing strategy.
• Ensure property adheres to company policies and priorities.
• Supervise leasing, prospect management and maintenance performance.
• Verify data accuracy in Yardi and other systems.
• Collaborate with facilities management to address maintenance issues.
• Meet operational and maintenance metrics per agreements.
• Foster a WeCare culture; mentor and develop team members.
• Recruit, hire, onboard and retain talent; lead teams to growth.
• Manage priorities, build relationships and solve problems.
• Create budgets and monitor monthly financial targets.
• Oversee payables/receivables and financial reporting.
• Support Project Development data calls and schedules.
