Job summary

Hunt Military Communities seeks a Community Director for a 500–950 unit Virginia Beach military housing community. You will oversee staff, leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, revenue, and compliance, while partnering with government entities.

You will manage budgets, report financials, and implement marketing plans to maximize occupancy and asset value, driving superior service and performance in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Property Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of property leasing experience or related skills.
• Minimum 3 years of property management/operations with budgeting experience.
• Minimum 1 year of people leadership/management experience.
• Experience in property management operations preferred; YARDI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff recruitment, training, coaching, and performance.
• Liaise with Government entities and maintain communications with partners.
• Oversee daily operations of a multi-family military housing property and budget adherence.
• Drive revenue and occupancy through sales, service, and relationship management.
• Monitor market trends and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and asset value.
• Prepare and report on project progress and financials; manage capital projects and procurement.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general bookkeeping.
• Lead risk management, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance and make-ready for occupancy changes and inspections.
